new job since jan. 12

hey guys i haven't been as active as i would like but i started a new job. I am now a communications officer at the palm beach county s.o. I have been working long hours and filling my head with all the new information. Once I finnish my training I will beable to be online more (since my workstation has a computer) and also wiht the more money i'll be closer to getting a s/c.

Good luck. As of 30 April my position is defunded so I'm looking for a job now. It's good to hear someone having success at it.

"Defunded" means that I'm welcome to still come to work. They just won't pay me. :lol:

It makes sense. I'm a contractor, supporting the US Army by acting as Project Manager for a Document Management System in one of the Army Programs. My team was tasked to develop the system, implement it, and support it. We finished the development and implementation (and won a major award for our solution) and now the support requires fewer people. The people I had working for me are trained more and are able to do it without me.

I just need to find someone else to do this for.

Defunded - That is a new one. What happened to reduction in work force, layoff or elimination of position. :(
