Anyone here use one of the K&N precharger filter wraps? Do you like it? Worth it for the extra filtration? How do you clean it?

I use one. To clean it get a bucket of soapy water (I use Dawn dish detergent) and let it sit for a few hours, agitating once or twice, rinse and let dry.

Mostly universal. Measure your filter.

Not sure if this would be the right size for the SB powerstack filter on the JLT kit.

Just measure your filter from media end to end, then mesure the diameter of each end if its tappered, and find your size on their chart:beer:

The JLT filter is 6" at the bottom, 9" tall (filter element), and 5.25" at the top.

If you want to be really cheap, use your wife's old nylons. They can't be cleaned, but OTOH they're free.

Thanks again Jim!!! :2thumbs:

Just ordered my pre-filter from Outerwears. But need to custom make it as I requested a blue wrap and they only have black in stock right now.

Will be a week before they ship it out.

I think this will be an excellent addition and assist the S&B filter on my JLT cold air intake.

Movinnnnnng on.....:burnout:

I forgot to mention that the price for the Outerwears pre-fliter was $23.45 if anyone else is interested who has a JLT cold air intake with S&B filter.

Sales represenative stated that the life of the pre-fliter is about a year and should be replaced.

Sales rep stated that the water repellent agent starts to break down and therefore need to replace every year if you were to clean the pre-filter at every oil change.

What color is yours now? Black? As sales rep stated that they only have black in stock.

Yep, mine is black. Most of the time I just rinse it off. Only cleaned it with "cleaner" 2 or 3 times.
