I just bought an 04 marauder silver birch with 1750 miles on it and i dont even want to drive it haha so i need a car cover that is thick but wont scratch the paint and will be durable enough to last me at least a year or two .. specs needed are : outdoor, good sun/rain/snow/dust/pollen protection, possible holes for cables so i can lock it to the car. neighbors around me arent exactly friendly to my cars either so any ideas for security or alarm systems are very much welcomed as well.

With that low mileage coupled with not driving it and your concern with your neighbors ... have you considered an enclosed secured storage facility?

As for a car cover, I got one when I bought my 03 1.5 years ago. I think it was California Covers or something like that. It seemed to fit well. I sold it so I can not discuss longevity or any protection factors.

im actually going to be putting it in a storage place but only in their lot because i had to get rid of my garage there to buy the car lol .. basically i just want something temporary because im moving to a new house that has a garage i just dont know when im going to end up getting there. in the time that will take i am going to have to cover it somehow. thanks for your input though.

You just described my garage. When can I expect the car?
Jokes aside, congrats on such a low milage Marauder.

I bought a CoverCraft one last fall. The Evolution material in beige. It's a custom cut and fit. It's pretty nice for my use.
My 2cents.

Since December of 2003 mine marauder has been sitting under a California noah weave cover:up: Easy to wash when it gets dirty. Great protection!!

Which cover did you order?

I'm looking at the Noah with "Crown Victoria" logo, but at just over $300 I still have to convince the boss its a good idea.

I think it's a must have option for anyone who wants to keep a car nice and do not have a garage.

My California noah weave cover was just wash and looks brand new after almost 7+ years:up:

I went with the Covercraft Sunbrella option. Black car, S Florida sun. Great cover.
I have had 3 of them for 3 different vehicles.
Only cover I would consider.

Just wondering what the best indoor cover would be for the most reasonable price? I'm always concerned with carless door openings on my wife's SUV, I was looking at the Covercraft Evolution due to the thickness....

^^^ I just bought (past fall), the Evolution for my MM and my Mustang. Good covers (for indoor and outdoor); but not as thick as you might think. Good protection though.

i have the weathershield it's a calif. cover love it. but you'll need to add f/r grommits to keep it from blowing off in the wind. these cars are long so i grom. in the middle don't cut it.

Just an update. I did order a Noah from California Car Cover. I like it so far. I did spend the extra $30 to have the CCCC logo removed ($5) and I had the "Crown Victoria" logo printed on it ($25). I was a little disappointed in the CV logo, its cool but its kinda small and a little cheesy looking. The cover does have "Front" printed on the outside of it, obviously so you know where the front of the cover is, but its visible when the cover is installed. It keeps the bird poop and dust off the car so all in all I do like it.

Any suggestions on any car covers that have the license plate window ? I can't seem to find one anywhere

I take back my recommendation on the NOAH. My car sat most of the Winter and Spring and when I took the cover off I was horrified at what happened to my paint and headlights. Lot's of scratches and it wore away the clear coat on the headlights. Going to leave the car exposed until I can get it garaged or find a better cover. Someone suggested a Sunbrella cover. I'm going to look into that.

No car cover has a window that I know of. I went through right after I got mine and my car was on the street and the Township would not allow a cover over the inspection sticker of rear plate. My only option was has a company put then windows aftermark. I found a place to park that allowed the cover:)

I'm moving from a house with a garage to an apartment ... I figured they would mess with me if the tags dont show..
