I need some advice here...the chrome strip that is on the bottom of my window on the driverside door seems to be scratched or worn away, it is not as shiny as the other doors. It looks like there was tape on it when the car was shipped and they had some trouble pulling the tape off because the chrome is marked up.

I have waxed it but with no results. When the sun hits it you can really see how different it looks compared to the other three doors.

Do you think I should notify the dealer on this problem. The MM is in the garage and it only has 200 miles on it. I don't want to here the crap from the dealer that I did it.

Any thoughts??

Yes,I have the only advise you need: Take it back to the dealership & have it replaced! If you don't(everytime you go into the garage that will be the first thing your eyes are glued to) plus it will haunt you & keep you up at night! Take the car back to the dealership(make sure its clean of course),and they should have NO PROBLEM covering this under warranty. You only have 200 miles on your "garage kept" Marauder.Besides you have a 3yr./36,000 mile "bumper to bumper" warranty.USE IT! Besides, whats the worse case, they say it is'nt covered & you have to pay? Is'nt it still worth getting replaced(you'll sleep better) trust me! Don't even worry about it anyway, they should take care of this under warranty.Good luck. Tim.

Yes, nicely demand replacement right away, the longer you wait the greater the chance the dealer will blame it on, acid rain, nuclear fallout, terrorrism, Acts of God. or just simply blame it on you. Act now.

I don't want them doing any damage to the doorIn life there are no guarantees, having said that, an experienced trim man should have no problem changing trim without damage to door. Here is a sample of my car, it is being repainted due to defective paint, yes I AM VERY afraid they will screw it up, but I could not just sit there and watch the paint fall off the car either. :)

You have already gotten the correct advice. There should be no problem getting the dealer to replace that piece. I had a bad rubber strip (looked mauled) that separated the rear door window from the smaller stationary window. I made this request some 8 months into service. Unfortunately that piece only comes as a part of the entire rear window assembly. I also found debris bumps under the paint low on a back door well into service. The feeling I got from the service dept. is that just about anything not covered in the bumper to bumper IS covered in the first 12,000 miles....even windshield wipers.

Your situation is primo, the car has but only 200 miles, great time to act on these little discrepencies.

Good luck.
