I tried the search but got nothing but junk. What is the part number for the front license plate bracket? I want to replace mine. They often lose that black color due to the sun or chemicals from the car wash.

I was told by the stealership that it is a Marauder specific part. When I got mine from them. As I tried to swap my P71 license plate holder/bracket which was still in tip top shape with the damaged one when I got my Rauder before I sold my P71. It was a no go.

(Note: Mounting holes and the way to mount totally different unless gerry rig it some way.)

Did you try using some back to black by Mothers first?

As RoyLPita posted, 3W3Z17A385AAA is definitely the correct part number as I just placed an order for one, but like 88LTDCV351, I want to replace my front license plate bracket; my questions are how to remove and replace the bracket  I've read that it's best to use the Ford recommended rivets (P/N HM1 Pack Quantity: 10 ).

1. Do I remove the original Ford rivets by drilling the four of them out like pop-rivets?
2. Do I need a specific tool to re-install the bracket w/ Ford rivets, or will a pop-rivet gun work?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I believe they are plastic push rivets. Usually don't need any tools.

I beg to differ here. According to my sources, it has not been superceeded to another number.

Good to know, I hate not having a specific type of tool required when I'm halfway through a project!

As always, thanks fastblackmerc!

We just did a 2003 CV P71. Suggest to remove the rivets and replace with 1/4-20 bolts (with thread locltite) and back up washers so not to pull through the plastic. Just did the same thing. I clipped the ears of the rivets from the back side with diagonal cutting pliers as mine would try to spin during drilling. We have a spare used holder if you need it.

I already purchased a new bracket and the Ford HM1 rivets, but thanks for the offer, I appreciate it nusbd!
On a side note, how'd you get pliers to the backside, I'll admit, I haven't lied down underneath yet since it's freezing outside, but just "trying" to reach behind the bumper, I can't feel any of the installed rivets!?!
