What a first round, with the rookie cap in place, lots of moves.

And the Vikings didn't screw it up, add 3 picks and still got the right guy in Kalil.

They are still a few years away and Ponder needs to take huge steps this year, but it's starting to look up

That Dallas secondary is looking good now.

And the Vikings moved back into the first round to get Harrison Smith. Two real good moves. Need a corner, WR and some D line

The Pack picked up a DE that shoul bolster their pass rushing capability.

Still got some more work to do on D, though.

Lions finally drafted someone to keep stafford upright. Very happy.

Not happy about Megatron being on the madden cover though.

Yeah that is one curse that stil remains active, for your sake I hope it doesn't hit this year. Megatron is awesome and I love watching him play. Since the Vikings suck this year, I kind of root for the Lions, I'd like to see them do well

Brad...would like to hear from a Vikings fan's perspective...what did YOU think when you heard that Favre was coming to Minnesota....

Well in Favres instance, I really respected him, loved how hard he played the game, I loved that he manipulated the Packers and Jets in a two year plan to get to the Vikings.

He said the first time he unretired, he wanted to be a Viking, the Pack refused to allow it, even writing it into the clause of the trade with the Jets.

So knowing that's where he wanted to be, we certainly wanted to have him. And if it wasn't for the Saints cheating and the Refs rolling out the red carpet to the Katrina bowl, while Mickey Loomis was listening to our coaching calls in his suite, we would have been in the bowl against the Colts

In all seriousness I loved Favre, and I'm do glad he was a Viking for a couple years. May have set us back for the future, but it was worth taking the shot.

Yeah, we knew he wanted to go there and tried our damndest to not allow it...worked for a year, though. His 'manipulation' of the Packer organization put a sour taste in my mouth, but I respect his toughness and his ability to turn Packer football back into something fun to watch, not fun-ny. I grew up during the woeful 70s and 80s Packers and thought I'd never see them win a SB.

Just wish the 'Favre' era hadn't ended the way it had, but it got to the point where I think the head honchos did what needed to be done. We knew A-Rod had the potential to lead our team to the SB and it was time to get him off the bench and be the new leader for our team.

I agree with you; the Vikings had to take a shot and almost made it work.

Hey Rex, have you looked at the Packers schedule? Weird that they are playing on Thursday night in week 2 (and just 4 days after having to travel to S.F.), but it's against Da Bears (still suck) and we'll be at MVX...looks like you, me, Casey, and all the other Pack/Bears (still suck) fans will have our own 'itinerary' for that night...

Calling it now...Pack 27, Bears 23.

3 Sunday night games, 1 MNF, but no Thanksgiving day game? Sucks that the closest they'll be to us all year long is Indy. Wish the Tennessee game was an away game...I'd be willing to make the drive.

Schedule seems a little goofy, but I think 13-3 will be final record. Think we'll lose to 49ers, Giants, and drop one between the Bears (still suck)/Vikings/Lions.

I don't really like the Bears first pick. If they really wanted him, they could have traded down a few picks and still got him. I understand their need for a pass rusher, but he is undersized as a DE and played 65%+ of his time at Boise as a linebacker. Not to mention that Boise State has only three starters in the NFL from the last ten drafts. Not a good track record.

With DeCastro sitting there at number 19, a top prospect that many scouts believed to be the best OG outta college in the last 5-8 years and as poorly as the Bears O-line has been, I would have loved for them to take him. But the Bears did sign an OG from Troy as an undrafted free agent. This kid was the 8th best at his position in many draft boards so I'm kinda excited to see if he can compete for a job. Still, I would have loved DeCastro.
