Ford has come a long way in design in just the last few years. My wife's 2006 Explorer is rather stodgy in design. I won't mind dumping it when the time comes.

The days of big ole v8s are numbered, if you want one better jump because in a few years they will be gone except for maybe trucks and exotics. They have 280+ hp 4 bangers now that get 35 mpg and like it or not thats where we are headed.

I looked at those and they base at around 25k through 38k for the fully loaded hybrid model.

They do offer a 3.5L V6 24V Duratec in the Sport model for the Fusion; but its not the same as the Ecoboost. I think the 3.5L Duratek is now rated at 265 HP with 250 TQ @ 4500 RPM. The Ecoboost comes in at 365 HP and 350 TQ @ 1500 RPM. Both use 87 Regular gas.

I had considered the Ford Fusion Sport; but the wife said it was too small so she MADE me get the Taurus SHO. :D She loves the roomy interior and amenities. :up:
