No, not Silverback, but me. Today the doc's did a stress test and nuclear imaging on my motor, AKA heart. It's been five years since my Open Chest Surgery.

The machine/procedure reminded me of a dyno run. A big computer screen with all kinds of excel type info blocks, digital gages, with a "dyno Doc" running the controls. The tread mill, with me on it like a car on rollers, was hooked up with at least eight sensors and wires running to the control console.

The "Dyno Doc" cranked up the machine and increased the speed and incline every few minutes. One assistant was taking my blood pressure at different levels of speed and supporting me so I wouldn't fall, while another assistant was injecting radioactive dye, periodically, into a stint stuck into my hand. They were constantly hovering about me and calling out numbers.

I couldn't help but chuckle, so I shouted over to "Dyno Doc", what's my numbers? He answered 178 over 100, I asked is that horsepower and torque? He laughed because he understood. I could almost swear I heard an engine screaming at 6 K. Funny how the mind works.

Anyway, I'm good to go. :burnout:

Regards,

Pat

Horsepower = Alive

Torques = Thankful

I heard them but wasn't paying close attention, something in the mid 130's over mid 80"s.

stress test and nuclear imaging Nuclear imaging...so does this mean that pregnant women and people with pacemakers need to stay 50 feet from you now? You'll set off alarms in airports? Turn into The Hulk when you get mad?

Seriously, good to know you'll be around for a while longer Pat!

Great news Pat!

I was Dyno'd before the Louisville meet due to chest pains that woke me in the middle of the night, and I went later that day to the ER.

Scary stuff as my numbers were ~178/120 upon arrival.

:eek:

Went Nuclear the following week, and the numbers I put down were much better, and a clean bill of health.

Scary stuff to say the least.

Mike.

Congrats Pat, always good to get that clean bill of health.

I have do this once a year as I had a couple minor strokes when I was 25. Finally about 6 months ago (8 years later) they took me off all the blood pressure medicine and gave me a clean bill.
