I want to paint my valve covers blue to match the rest of the things I'm painting using G2 caliper paint. I have the 03 black covers. I was wondering if anybody here has used G2 to paint over anything black/dark color if it covers good. If not maybe somebody would be willing to trade me a set of silver covers.
I sent G2 an email asking how well their paint covers other colors but haven't gotten a response.

I've herd that cailiper paint will fade after a few years. If that's the case I would rather have them powder coated

According to G2 (but they might be biased) their paint stays nice and shiny for a very long time, I don't know if G2 has been around long enough to really prove it or not... My first thought was to powder coat but if G2 is as good as they say I am all for it.

Ive used the VHT caliper paint in the spray can for the cast aluminum skulls on my exhaust pipes. Shine remains very good after repeated cleaning w/simple green type degreaser for coming up on two years now.

Cool, I think I'm going to give this a shot. Going to go with Laser Blue (SN). Do you have any pics of your skulls, sounds awsome.
