I'm getting a part time IAT High Voltage code. Since it's part of the MAF unit, I was wondering if it was just a "dirt" issue. Anyone know what "high voltage" really means?

Make sure the plug is on/clean/tight to the MAF.
Do you have the code #?

Also check for posible broken wire or rubbed insulation in the harness.

P0113 I think. Once I look it up, it's hard to remember the nunmber.

P0113 is the intermittent high voltage. I would deffinitely be looking for a broken wire/conection most likely in the ground circut - something that is still touching/making contact but opening the circut when bumped.
Could be the sensor itself - swap with a spare/somebody else's to see if it goes away.

Paul are you anywhere near the shop?
"High Voltage" is often caused by a short between the 5vref and the signal wire, so checking for a short between the signal wire and a power source is the first step.

Paul, it's most likely not a "cleaning" issue.
As EMAS said, the PCM looks for an analogue voltage from the IAT somewhere less than 5 (I don't have the exact range in front of me). If it receives 5 volts continuously, it knows that's incorrect and sets the CEL.
Try unplugging the MAF and clearing the code. If it comes back, it's a wiring issue. If it stays away, the IAT is bad. I don't know if it's replaceable separately from the MAF, but I suspect not.

I'm in 'Bama. I'm tied up here at work until end of next week.

It seems to have been a "dirt" problem. Flushed with CRC, replaced filter (I have 2 spares at home, but had to buy a new one). Maybe just un-plugging and re-plugging the conncetor is what cured the problem.

Glad to hear your fixed. Are we still on for test and tune Friday Night 5/25/12?
