I took my R off the road for a few months, and put the plate on the MM.

MY plate is OOR ( for 2000 R).

The girlfriend asked me what if someone asks what the plate means ?

I said tell them you drive EITHER the Focus OOR the Marauder. :P

Just ordered mine last week, i went with RAREMERC. What did you guys pay for your plates?? In Ontario Canada they charge $250, seems a bit pricey to me!!

In North Carolina, a normal plate is $28.00; some counties tack on an extra couple bucks. To personalize, I paid an additional $30.

However, since I had South Carolina plates prior to getting my new personalized NC plates, I also had to pay a $150 road usage tax, $40 fee to tranfer title, and a $5 notary fee, so my grand total this time around was $253. Next year, it'll just be $58.

It doesn't mean anything to the untrained eye, it's just a regular U.K license plate :D

The first group of letters/numbers is a registration code though, if you are really bored Click here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of _the_United_Kingdom,_Crown_dep endencies_and_overseas_territo ries) for a full explaination of U.K license plates.

My license plate breaks down like this:

W = Registered in The West Country
F = Registration city code for Exeter, Devon County.
52 = Date of first use (1st September 2002 - 28/29 February 2003)
FMZ = Just a group of random letters unique to my car
