so i was talking to my tuner about the 5.0 and he said he recomended i put it on the dyno for a baseline, since some of the 5.0s were having issues running lean right out of the box. so thats exactly what we did, we put the 2012 on the dyno for a pull. turns out my car dosnt have the issue he was telling me about and made damn good numbers for a stock car. with the setting on STD (not sure if "setting" is the right word or not but yall know what i mean) it spit out 400hp and 379ftlbs. on SAE it read 392/372. pretty damn impressive for a totally stock car. for comparison, my MM made 435/432 with it set to STD, so my NA coyote made only 35 hp less bone stock
this car is so much fun

Those are some stout NA numbers Dave.
I am thinking a late model 5.0 is in my future.
It is a great platform to mod from and everyone I have talked with loves the seats and the car's overall efficiency.

Sweet!
With a little tweaking, you may beat the Marauder N/A.

Well, nine years newer, bigger motor, and more technology. I kinda look at it as our cars aren't that slow, but the new Mustangs are just that fast... ;)

Very sweet numbers Dave! I now have 2 friends who also have a 5.0, They are great cars. not to mention items like the auto tranny are ok for 675ish to the rear. Ford did a awesome job on this.

my car in a manual and while i like it, i dont like where they put reverse and i dont like the 1>4 shift thingy. however, after driving the MM with the boring automatic, i wouldnt want this car with an auto, the manual is just too much fun.

What would a set of headers do for the motor ?

I believe they come with headers now. I read something about one of the designers making them at home as a weekend project. Try Y IIRC.

And every car that I know of today comes from the factory with a cold air intake, that doesn't mean there aren't gains to be had from an aftermarket piece. :)

Yep,
Shorty Tri-Y set-up.
Much better than cast iron log manifolds, but not as good as a set of full length headers.
Kinda like the OEM headers on the original 5.0 engine.
BTW: Sick RWHP numbers Dave!
Was that bone stock, or after a tune?
