I'm no expert, but thats a pretty ballsy undertaking on many levels:)........ Did not read the whole thread, but will!

Wonder what year that was..... An original 911 wide body non turbo was a pretty rare car. Lots of regular 911's got fiberglass widebody treatments by aftermarket firms, but that looks to be all metal.... If my read is right, I wonder about the lost value of the original car. Still, its gonna look badazz when its done. Wonder how is gonna handle as LS motors have a higher center of gravity then boxter flat sixes.:burnout:

There is a company in Vegas that sells conversion kits for Chevy engines to go into Porsches. I wouldn't mind one in a 928.
