Roger that...just wanted to make it known that the TK in Charlotte has a monthly cruise-n for future reference. Other possible dates are Aug 12th & Oct 14th (last one for this year). Kinda stinks that they're on Sundays 4-7pm. Also hard to find a central location since we are spread out quite a bit in the Carolinas...

I'm still trying to figure out what the general consensus is on how far most people are willing to drive for a meet. I use a simple formula when I'm trying to decide: If the time spent at the location is going to be more than twice the amount of time necessary to drive to & from the event, it's a go. It will take me about 8 hrs drive time to/from the TK event later this month, but I will be there for about 24hrs, so it's a go.

ATL is approx 3+30 drive for me, so any time you folks have an all-day event going on and my schedule is free, I'll be interested in attending...

Checked on the way into work this morning. The QT down the block has regular at $2.69 and Premium at $2.89.

My temp rolling at 80 MPH showed 117 degrees at its highest point. IATs sucked along with the coolant getting up to 215 at one time. No romping for me today. To dang hot!! Just got back home about half an hour ago. I had a great time hanging out with everyone that was there. The heat outside and inside definitely put a little damper on the 'friskiness' meter, but we paced ourselves and had a blast. (A/C in the T/K was overloaded...thermostat on wall near restrooms read 83*!) I can honestly say it's the first time I've closed down an establishment at 9pm :lol:...the TK decided to close it's doors early due to the A/C issues.

Wished we would've talked more about our cars, but with the heat and the 'views', it was easy to get distracted. I was disappointed to learn that the hottest TK girl in the place 'plays for the other team'...oh well. It was great to put faces to screennames for those that I haven't met before. Chirs, don't worry about your short appearance...you still made the effort to come down and that's just awesome!

So what should we call this one? Beer, Boobs, & Blasted by heat? Basted like a turkey? We should've run to the nearest Wal-Mart and bought a s**tload of water guns and induced a water gun fight with all the TK lasses....arrrggghhh, why didn't I think of this yesterday?!?
