Somebody pulled a fast one on ya,they didn't make them dirt bike Shortsters until 57!

Just funning ya,you got a nice bike there,I'm up on the new ones they call 48's.
BTW,the reason us "more experienced (read old timers) call them dirt bikes was cause they were bred to beat the Brits out of sales and flat track racing on dirt.
A whole lot of hardcore Sporty riders from back in the day swear Harley ruined them by switching from the original 18" tire in the back and the 19" in front.
I've had a few Harley's along the way,a 47 Trike I paid $10 for in 1966,a 62 Pan chopper in a 57 Straight Leg frame,a 42 WL solo,64 FLH Pan,79 FXEF,49 93" Pan,04 FLHSTF,98 FXSTC,and my current E Glide,looking to build a real hot rod scooter sometime soon.
