Ms marauderman quoted tips to elimitate irriating skips and repair

Ok folks--the following is what was promised this past weekend -and alot simpler than it appears here in written word----but anyway here it is--- we have done this and it really works...so the listening pleasure is not lost in your MM or home anymore--here goes--read all and make notes :

1. Make sure you use a white toothpaste--NOT A GEL

2. Use your finger to rub the paste across the grooves, not with them
as if in a spokewheel, from center to edge.....not alot of paste is
needed..

3. Gently rub the paste off with a soft , lint free cloth, (or soft cloth like a shamy or cloth baby diaper) after it has dried alittle, to where it is not completely dry (not rock hard)-- using the same direction of center to edge as you did to put paste on.

Process may be repeated , however , if the CD or DVD is severly scratched , it may not work

Also , if you have gotten too much paste on it the first time, you can wash it off --dry gently and do over with less paste...water won't hurt it!

P.S. here: Todays mail ( 2-12-04) , received the following: In Harriott Carter's Sales brochure on P.73.= It shows a pen that is suppose to do the same repair work. I don't plan to order as the paste works well most of the time....try it first....it's already in the drawer-- and cheaper..right...!

GOOD LUCK!. ...Ms. Marauderman
