Hi -
Just got dinged in DC for a 63 in a 50 (Really!) by photo RADAR (295South).
Does anyone have experience with the PhotoBlocker sprays?
Are they legal in all states?

I heard spraying clear coat over your plate works because it does the same thing which is cause a refraction of your plate and it can't be seen

i heard that the spray used to work on the old style cameras, but the govt upgraded to digital something or another which will be able to see right through the spray. BTW those cameras are set up to take a picture at 12mph more than the posted limit......2mph slower and you would've been in the clear. sorry to hear.

How can they ticket the vehicle owner when anyone could be driving your car......kinda like ticketing rental car owners??
I think this is pure BS and they have quit using them here as far as I know??

In Honolulu, several years ago, vans were used instead of stationary cameras. These vans would be parked in a designated areas on the freeway and there would be an individual who would operate the equipment that would take a picture of both the vehicle's license plate as well as the driver if there was a speed limit violation.
Many complained and challenged the tickets and this way of catching speeding violaters was terminated.
Main issue brought out was:
1. violation of privacy/rights taking a picture of the driver without permission.
2. And the registered owner of the vehicle was responsible for paying the citation.
