Just curious, how many of us have the jackets that were given when their MM were purchased new?

My Mother In Law bought an 03 new, drove it to about 90,000 miles. We inked a deal for me to buy the car from her the following spring but the damn thing got stolen before I got to buy it. Then I happened onto my current car...asked for the jacket but they did not have it....got to thinking about it and asked the Mother In Law if she still had hers...she did! So now I have one.

The jacket was a nice giveaway, however the the logo's are all on the inside and noting on the outside? Would have been a nice touch if the put the word marauder somewhere on the jacket.

They did .... "Made for Mercury Marauder Owners Only" on the inside leather tag. The zipper pull and the cuff buttons have the god's head logo.

Ya, classy without the Mustang or FORD gaudy big letters.
I have had people complement me on my Marauder Jacket.
One even said he could only find leather in small patches and not the big panel sections of leather on the MM jacket.
After people ask about it I say I got it free.
What? they answer, and then I show them the liner, buttons, zipper, and label.

It wouldn't have meant a thing to 99% of the people who saw it. I suspect they would have thought "motorcyle" club. :o

I was a bit underwhelmed by the jacket because it was so ordinary looking AND because it did not come in ladies size. Mine is too big in the shoulders and too long in the arms and not quite big enough in the chest.:o

There was mailing cards in the owners manual where you check your size and they send you a jacket.

I bought mine a year old but didn't know any better about the jackets or floormats which were already swiped. Sucked about the mats, but I could care less about the gaudy jacket. I would have never once worn it.

LOL Bob! The visual is stunning....:D As for the jacket, it should have been NOT gaudy but badazz. Just sayin'. :cool: (and it should fit not flatten);)

I bought my Marauder from the original owner who never sent for the jacket (sigh). So shortly after I bought the car, I found a guy on eBay selling a jacket in unworn condition with the garment bag. Better still, the seller only lived about 35min from my apartment at the time, so I just drove to his place and saved on shipping.

April 1, 2003--new Marauder--new jacket--still have box and bag--worn more than a few times. Get a kick out of wearing it to car shows and putting the Corvette and Mustang folks to shame--great jacket--not gaudy and FREE !! Cruzer

Terrific looking jacket, even for a lady! Soft and attractive without the big patches etc. Looks classy not gaudy at all! Still have the original bag and still get lots of compliments on the jacket and the 2003 Black Marauder! Still enjoying it with only 33k miles!

I bought mine 2 weeks ago from another member in new cond with bag. I never seen so much killings over a mm item before. You think this forum is nice post up a med jacket and watch the blood flow.

Well I have an XXL new in the box. I tried it on but never wore it. It is too big for me and I would be happy to trade for a mint XL. It needs to be the original from ford. There are some aftermarket jackets that are similar but not the same, and I do not want one of those.

Tossed the box, never planned on wearing it. Found out they quit making Marauders, kicks myself in the ballz/head/neck/shins for tossing box. Kept floormats box, can't fool me twice.
