Pontiac G8 good to buy ?

Hello guys im thinking about selling my is250 awd and I really like the Pontiac G8 ? The 6.2 L. What are your guys thoughts on that ?

I don't know much about those cars, but like Mercury, Pontiac no longer exists so you might start running into the same problems we have when it comes to finding parts.

Pretty good cars, good power on tap, lots of mods on the market for them and really nice interior. I would of bought one instead of my 08 Taurus if I could of found one at the time for under $20k with less than 50k miles on it.

Yes, that is true. I saw one yesterday its a very good looking car with loads of power.
I wonder how they are on maintenance.

True, my is250 only has 40k miles has everything. Now driving that car seems boring lol

A worthy replacement for the Marauder. It's sibling the Caprice is a fleet only car but Chevy is about to introduce the SS which is the same platform engine etc. it's a very nice touring car for sure and well the LS3 is a stout performer with plenty of aftermarket.

Parts wont be a problem because GM is about to start selling them again as a Chevy SS. Good car, get the GT.

Once you goto a LS motor theres no going back and whats not to like when you have a alum. 376ci with 415 ft-lbs. @ 4600 rpm and 415 hp @ 5900 rpm......heads flow 330 @ 650 stock and the block and crank is good for 1000 hp.........I`m putting the same motor in my 90 notchback Mustang but i`m converting it to a carb and front mount distributor..

A ctsv-v is in our future and I'm really attached to this car. Those are the reasons I haven't bought one.

My DD is a 2009 G8 GT. love it. 36K on the clock and running like a champ. 370 HP from 6.0 L isn't too bad. Tight ride. Easy maintenance. I like the AFM the GT has. ( Active fuel management). Get 25+ on the highway.

The GXP 6.2 doesnt have AFM. But you can also get a stick on a GXP if you want.

Drop a big bore in the Marauder torque issue solved. A CTS-V Caddy LS2 couldnt pass the ole taxi cab. But the GXP would be sweet since its very rare and LS3 to boot!

The G8 has been replaced== by the new Impala rear wheel drive [police only ] ala Commodore SS from Australia . the G8 is "Cheby" Powered L S recent generation engine same as the police only units

I almost bought one but they are still a little pricey and they are coming up on 5 years old. Really like them. You'll pay out the wazoo for GXP. You can still get parts because holden still makes them in australia.

They'll run circles around the marauder unless you've got some serious mods on the marauder.
