So we are driving home in the Mustang this evening on I-70 after having dinner with Dad. Gordon is driving. A county cop catches up and paces along our rear quarter. I say "are we in trouble" he says "maybe!". The cop then pulls up next to us. Gordon looks over at him to see he giving us the "thumbs up"!! Gordon returns the thumbs up and the cop speeds away! Too cool!

BTW, the Mustang is lookin' sharp after we installed the side and rear window louvers.

Chris you have a fine looking set of wheels!! You actually let Gordon drive? Joann rarely lets me get behind the wheel of her Stang. She also has a problem with police paceing her. They also like to pull her over with lame excuses like she had her brights on. Enjoy it when they leave you alone!

I like the louvered look. Makes the car very muscular in appearance. :2thumbs:

I'd pull Barney over he's got to be guilty of something ;)

Well now that's just an understatement if there ever was one.

I like those rear window louvers, got to add that to my wish/gottoget list. Also your lower valence stripes inspired me to add stripes.

Very nice Chris, those louvers really set it apart from the rest.

Wish they made for the Marauder.

Yup, and yup.

Even if he wasn't guilty, I'd make something up...;)

Let's see, I was slightly north of 80mph at the time in a 65mph zone, illegal tint, and the front tag is in the windshield (not properly mounted on the front bumper). And it was a Frederick County Deputy in Washington County Maryland, he was propably late for his shift.

As we were driving home I noticed this car in the rear view mirror catching up fast. I said; "Oh it is a cop.' and slowed down to under 70mph before he started to tail me.

And then...all of a sudden, with great skill and aplomb...Gordon pulled the handbrake while executing a perfect 180 in the same lane of travel, drove backwards whilst flipping the bird to the copper who was now nose to nose to him, and at just the right moment slammed that beautiful Mustang into second gear (yes. From reverse) passes said constable and finds the nearest exit ramp and shouts out above the tire squeal and smoke...fast as fast can be, you'll never catch me!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! The visibility is great looking straight out the back of the rear louvers. Only a little more difficult checking the blind spot on the passager side but the side mirror helps with that. Just something to get use to.

Guess the cop was admiring the nice car and louvers. :D
