Terrible News, Prayers Needed

Although I'm still in the testing process, it seems I have caught some sort of a lung cancer. I have no details as yet, but if you're so inclined, prayers are welcome. I had picked up a cough while down south, and it persisted. I went to my Dr. back home, and they have found a mass on my ling. So far, all the experts think I'm treatable. As of now, I still feel pretty good, have no pain, and am doing whatever I'm told. As I get more details, I'll share them.

My father had lung cancer in 1965. He was diagnosed with another cancer in 1999. My mother was diagnosed in 1996.
They are both with us today. Do not make any decisions until you are 100% on board with them. If you have surgery get a patient advocate. Most surgeons are equal at performing the surgery. You die from inferior post op care.

Attitude is half the battle.

My Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer 30 years ago and had to have a masectomy; 7 years ago she had brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor...she will be 74 in November. It can be beat and you can live to a 'ripe old age'...wishing you the same. Be well and good luck.

There are many things you can do to strengthen your immune system and fight cancer. There's a ton of literature on the matter. Diet (not just weight loss but foods that help your body to repair itself), exercise, sleep, positive attitude.

After the doctor recommends certain treatments, investigate them yourself to find if they are effective for the type of cancer that afflicts you.

In my thoughts and prayers Paul. Kick this ***** ass....there is no other option. My wife's father was just
diagnosed w/ Stage 4 Prostate and they think its in the pelvic bone and of course the lymph nodes.

BUT, we're talking a course of treatment over years, not months in his case.

BUT, they are doing things w/ cancer that anyone affected by it even 2 years ago wouldn't recognize.

This is not a death sentence. Do what you're told, keep your spirituality high, realize there is no plan "B" but to beat this crap down.
