In the 80's, our company (insurance company) was bought out by Xerox.
I was instructed to attend a corporate "technology" meeting at Xerox headquarters in Rochester, NY.
I talked my boss into letting me drive the 350 mile trip from north Jersey, instead of flying, as long as I could rent something a bit upscale.
He agreed, and I rented one of these Marks.
Great car, great trip, would do it again in a heartbeat.
The following year, I took the trip again in one of the FW drive Continentals.
Not bad, but no Mark.

I like the car but it looks a bit 4x4 ish to me on those tires. Sorry, I had to say it. :flamer:

Love those 1988-92 Mark VII's, especially the 90-92's with the revised and cleaner interiors. This one is not an LSC surprisingly, but rather one of the rarer Bill Blass models. I've driven a few Mark VII LSC's and always enjoyed them, they seem to "float" more than the Marauders, probably because of the four air springs v. our two rear air springs.
Overall, I love the late Mark VII's with the HO 302, but HATE that AOD. Slow to downshift, vague feeling, slow automatic transmission. It always seemed like the Mark VII's with the HO 302 put out great power, but the AOD feels like a power-sucking sponge. Similar era Mustang GT's are MUCH slower with the AOD v. the 5 speed manual.

That is one sweet ride, with only 15K original miles!

I had a 92 LSC. Wasn't nearly that clean, but still a great car.

Oh wait, nevermind, this is an LSC. The seats are different, flatter, than the ones used in the two 1988 LSC's I've driven.

Probably the best looking Lincoln since the early 60's slab side models. These LSCs were the last Lincolns I ever wanted to own too, when they changed the body style to that melted jellybean look they ruined it IMHO. Today Lincoln makes nothing Im interested in at all.

Glad to see Mark VIIs are appreciated on this site. :)
We drive the marauder so I can keep my Mark VII ('86 GTC) in the garage-
