Wow...did I piss you off so badly that you were temporarily blinded by your anger and couldn't remember my name?
I still forget sometimes that sarcasm is hard to relay via written communication...my comment was meant as good-natured ribbing, nothing more, nothing less. After watching you guys post up frequently about 'when's registration gonna open?' for the past 2-3 months...registration is open now and all is well and we can relax now that the final piece is in place.
I love the enthusiasm...don't get me wrong...putting together an event such as this just doesn't happen overnight. Can't wait to see you all in South Haven...and you can punch me in the throat for making a bad attempt at humor.. :o

Yes it is Kyle--but you now know that those who tag each other with statements back and forth are mostly good friends behind the keys and fronting a different approach all along. Yes, it takes time for some to realize this who don't always get what others are doing--playing with each other---
The most famous on this board were Martyo and TAF-- those two were seen by just about everone as guys who were gonna knock each other off if they ever got together--but in fact they were best buddies behind the keys.
It all came out and explained at one great meeting in Alt. Those two were and have been responsible for a great deal of information made available to us MM owners that continues today.
So the fun still continues with more tag teams now than ever---won't name them but you probably are getting the idea of who they may be.
.......and reading the jabs back and forth are fun reading I think.
anyway---it's all good--carry on...:beer::beer:
BTW--Ms. M and I are putting plans together for MVX and hope to go!!

We have a long way to go!
Only 20 have registered so far. We have more rooms booked than registered!
We need headcounts for everything, especially GingerMan road course. We need to make sure we have enough instructors to take care of us.
With all the push to get registration up, let's get the numbers up there!! It's going to be a lot of fun but we need your help in making it happen.
Please register today!!
REMINDER:
Everyone must select the event registration at $65 per person, regardless of how many days you attend. GingerMan is not an a la carte option. You must register for the event along with selecting GingerMan if you want to drive the course Thursday evening ($45).

Gingerman does require helmets. Josh from GingerMan said they have 3 or 4 helmets they can loan us. The Track instructor company may have more and I will ask. With some members driving in the advanced or intermediate groups, their helmets might be available as well.
Long pants are required. Long sleeves are optional but suggested. Cotton strongly suggested. Closed toe tie shoes are required. No sandals or slip-on shoes.
For Parade Lap: no helmet or clothing requirements.
I would like everyone to attend the drivers meeting. It's a great introduction to performance road course driving, even if you're doing just the parade lap.
Here's their rules and regulations:

Never bought a racing helmet before, so would appreciate it if someone could post links to websites that sell Snell helmets. I've searched a couple of times, but it appears that 95% of the helmets are motorcycle racing helmets...don't want to buy a helmet, get to Gingerman, and can't use it because it's the wrong kind/type. Also, what's the best way to determine what size I should buy...M, L, XL?
Thanks......

Your local drag strip should probably sell them.
That's where I got mine from.
Look for a local speed shop so you can try them on so you can get one that fits good!

Get an SA2010 rated one that will give you the most time to keep using it at the drag strip or road coarse. I would go to a bike shop and try them on to see what size is best. But different brands do fit and feel different.

I for one rarely get to do these kind of trips but how do we only have 3 people from Illinois!? Its a two hour trip, 3 at most in nightmare traffic with stops. Hopefully more from Chi town will be going, From a pure driving/car perspective Gingerman alone will be worth the trip. Normal test and tune is $75

Mary, unfortunately you'll need to drop each number down one as it is unlikely I'll be able to go. How exactly does the cancellation work? Do I need to do anything? Will the registration & Gingerman fees be refunded into my Paypal account? What is the deadline to re-register if by some chance I am able to go?
I plan on keeping my hotel reservation just in case I can attend and will canx it a couple days before the event start date if I can't. I know for certain that Gingerman is out for me, but I'm still hoping I'll be able to make it for Thurs nite through Sunday, although it's not looking good.

Wow !!! --- The Marauderville X (MV10) T-Shirt and Logo is GREAT !!! :2thumbs:
I really like the design and the reference/pics of the locations we'll attend.
Putting the DTR out front and showcased on the shirt is also a terrific idea .... considering all the heat that they have been taking for the past couple years. I think that Connie/Hammerdown might order a dozen.
Great job on the artwork.

The Greek God may appear in his finest toga & crown of olive wreath - also known as kotinos (Greek: κότινος). I'm sure He will need to change His adornments for the Gingerman track.
Herodotus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herodotus) describes the following story which is relevant to the olive wreath. Xerxes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xerxes_I_of_Persia) was interrogating some Arcadians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arcadian) after the Battle of Thermopylae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae). He inquired why there were so few Greek men defending the Thermopylae. The answer was "All other men are participating in the Olympic Games". And when asked "What is the prize for the winner?", "An olive-wreath" came the answer. Then Tigranes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigranes), one of his generals uttered a most noble saying: "Good heavens! Mardonius (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mardonius), what kind of men are these against whom you have brought us to fight? Men who do not compete for possessions, but for honour."
