I'll be on a business trip all next week to Yuma, AZ. What's to do in the off hours?

What off time?? All of the testing that I have been involved in at Yuma runs from O'dark thirty until late at night. 14-16 hours days are typical. Locals work 5 AM until 2 PM to avoid the hot afternoons. Visitors and testers not so lucky. ;) Its about a 30 minute or longer trip from the test ranges back to the hotel area. Lots of good South Western and Mexican restaurants. Take a book and enjoy the air conditioning at the hotel or take a dip in the courtyard pool.

Here's some other stuff >>>>> http://yumazone.com/todo.htm

BTW - The 3:10 to Yuma now runs at 4:25. ;)

Tombstone is four hours away if you had that kind of time.

Closer to 5 hours ... twice as far as Phoenix, AZ. You can see everything in Tombstone is less than 2 hours including lunch. Not much there.

That's a great link Charlie...thank you! Yeah I probably won't have much down time, but I've gotta try to squeeze something in.

There's no trees to lean on, and if I tip over accidentally, how will I explain burnt cheeks?

That's your problem, just think of it as a huge litter box.

If you have the time, I highly recommend a trip tp Tucson, I know it's like 4 hours, but that's where Davis Monthan AFB is and the airplane graveyards. It's definitely one of the coolest places I've ever been, and they give tours.

It'll probably be even hotter then, every time i've been to Yuma i just wanted to die. The territorial prison was interesting though.
