Hoping you guys can help... not Marauder related but a Grand Marquis general question.

Car ran great... then slowly started to sound like a rough idle (could be heard from the exhaust). Under heavy throttle she runs great. The idle slowly started to get more noticeable, now it can be felt at low RPMs.

Car is a 92' so I replaced both coil packs. I also swapped to new plugs, new wires, and also replaced the injectors. Car still idles rough. All 8 plugs looked the same.....

Now, when I shut the car down, if I try to restart immediately it fires right up. Let her sit a bit and she cranks and cranks like it's a fuel problem. Still runs great after heavy throttle. I have no smell of gas in the oil, trying to lean out a stuck injector. I have read that this could possibly be the fuel pressure reg or check valve at the pump. Any thoughts?

Click the vid, you can hear the idle

Clean the MAF?

Could also be a bad DPFE or clogged EGR passages in the intake manifold. Both of those things are common issues with the 2V.

Cleaned the EGR passage and replaced the fuel pressure reg... no luck. DPFE and fuel pump is next

Fuel pump is my guess.

That plug looked lean unless its the pic that's making it look white. I would say O2 sensors. Unplug them and it will throw a code and go into a preset parameter in the computer. See if it runs better, if it does then its a O2 issue.

Maybe clean the IAC?

Try some steps here, and see what happens.
1. With a QTip and some isypropol (spelling) alchohol; SUPER / SUPER carefully clean the MAF sensor. AND I MEAN CAREFULLY!! It's really tiny and easily broken; but can be cleaned gently.
2. Take some carb/throttlebody cleaner on a rag, and clean the throttle body and butterfly/throttle blade.
3. Take the same cleaner, and remove the IAC (its very easy), and spray the cleaner trhough it until all the black crap comes out.
4. Change up the fuel filter if you haven't in a while.
5. As "blackened300a" mentioned above; unplug the O2 sensors. (do this after the other things have been tried of course; to see if the other stuff helped).

These are all super easy steps to take. This is a start only.

Ok, the MAF and IAC have both been replaced. I will try the o2 today
