P71 issue

Under light acceliration around thirtyfive to forty the car feels shakie as soon as i punch it the car is fine dont really know where to start looking, tranny feels fine, engine is strong minus it needing an egr replacment, any help would be great, i sold this car to a buddy of mine snd now its giving him issues. Trying do the best i can to help him and the panter out. Thanks for your help in advanced

I replaced the cop before i sold it with accel super coils. I wanna say it feels like somthing in the suspenion but its wierd itd only kick in around 35-40

I had accel super coils in my mm and one failed within a month, it happens

My '04 CV LX Sport had this problem - the EGR valve module (there is a differential pressure switch built in) replacement fixed it.

If you know the EGR valve needs replacing by all means do that before you just start throwing parts at it!!:cool:

Sounds like the infamous torque converter clutch shudder.

Try this test next time it happens:

Hold your foot steady on the gas and use your left foot to GENTLY touch the brake pedal, just enough to turn on the brake lights. If the shuddering stops, then what I said above. Change the transmission fluid and you should be good. Use Mercon V ONLY...no miracle-in-a-bottle that claims to "convert" the fluid.

Right on, thank you, will replace Rgr ASAP, and do the trans shutter test, thanks for you help
