First, I just got off the phone with Susan Colby VP at The New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Because we have so many Marauders (14 so far) registering for the annual Classic and Custom Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 18th.......


We're getting a class of our own! 1st 2nd & 3rd place trophies will be awarded!!!



Second, Susan confirmed that ....


Our Group will take be taking paced laps on the NASCAR "Miracle Mile" at the conclusion of the Car Show on Saturday!!!:burnout:

Absolutely! Please come and join us! There are a couple threads about the meet so take a look in the Events forum. You can call the track directly to get a car show registration form, or PM me an address or fax number and I'll get one out to you. We are doing a car cruise around Lake Winnipesaukee on Friday the 17th and the car show is a 2 day event on sat & Sun. You are welcome to join us for the whole thing or any part of it. If you need a hotel room, I will be happy to see about getting you one at the Hampton Inn in Concord at our Club group rate. Let me know ASAP. Hope to see you there!

Isn't that awesome, Chris?!! We went from 4 cars the first year to 15 (plus) just 3 years later! Susan Colby always told me she would give us our own Marauder Class if we could show her the numbers. And thanks to everyone who is coming....We did it! And yes, the show is professionally judged on Saturday and peer judged on Sunday.

Hey Dean! Isn't this cool? Actually we may have between 16 and :eek: up to 20 cars this time! You don't need to do anything about the car show registration. We'll be out at the track on Wed. and will make sure everyone has been moved to the Marauder Class.:beer:

With a driveway 5/8 of a mile long full of gullies and mud I think another idea would be the way to go.

They have a pond full of creepy things if you want to use pond water. It's closer to the street. In fact if you have a fire truck hook up you could use a fire hose to give your car a wash. The local FD uses my folks pond to fill their trucks.

That is great news we can wash our cars at their house. ;) We'll Chris, all I can say is my in-laws live in the middle of The 100 Acre Wood, down a loooooooooooooong gravel lane with pot holes that could swallow a Mini. On a positive note, you may expect to see coyote, porcupine, deer and even a monkey (remind me to tell you about this:D). And once you finally reach civilization, buried deep among the tall pines you are greeted by a HUGE barn with 40 ft ceilings and room to park your dump trucks and earth moving equipment and of course your motorcycle collection, English sports car collection, Scion with 80 miles on the clock, old Ford pickup truck, Mitsubishi sports car, and last but not least, the NH State Car (Subaru Outback). There would be a great place to wash the car up near the house. The tricky part is getting the helicopter to air lift you out! :D
