I believe Meninblk means Saturday or Sunday, March 13/14 or March 20/21. Some folks can't do Saturdays, so I think we should do a Sunday this time. So the question is:

Who can do Sunday, March 14th and who can do Sunday, March 21? I can do either one.

I believe the chosen location is Hooters in East Meadow.

Please post the date(s) you can do. (Elsalsero is already on board with the Sundays).

We should try for a new record and have 20 Marauders at this meet. So everybody please post your availability and hold the dates!

You know, I have read this thread closely....

I have had an itching for a road trip to New York since last summer. I looked up the address today. Man! Talk about the middle of nowhere...well soooomewhere...on an island...:help:

Anyway, the trip appears to be 8.5 hours or so each way. Your get together this time is on a Sunday. I want to do this reeeeally bad. I haven't been to Manhattan in better than 8 years.
Last time I drove I was nearly kiiiillled. (How do you manipulate that area w/o taking on dings?!) :bounce:

I can't get that amount of time put together, particularly for such a short meet. So...you folks need to plan a big meet!!! I was hoping for the next Eastern Regional to be in NY.

Until then, I'll keep watching.:depress:

I've had the Marauder into the city a few times already - Broadway shows and B.B. King's to see Delbert McClinton. No dings - and I even let them park it for me one time. Most the time I park in the garages that let you drive in and find your own spot. Driving in the city isn't as bad as most people would have you believe. Someone was talking about a meet in Elmhurst, NY(in Queens County on Long Island) for this summer. I think it was in the thread for last month's meet.

I'm sure there will be a meet in April, but no location is chosen yet. We'll probably start talking about it as soon as the March meet at Hooters is over. Possibly another Westchester location, possibly New Jersey, or maybe somewhere entirely different.

In the meantime, keep checking this section for a new thread, and welcome aboard.

If I remember correctly there are several Cosco Eddie Bauer edition car seats/booster seats that are made in BLACK LEATHER...
I have a 7 year old and I am now shopping for one myself.

I'm remembering wayyy back in 1987, a day after this 24 year old kid, me, drove his brand new Buick Grand National out of the showroom. I remember heaing my wife say, "Ya know, we really should get another car seat now?" I remember saying, "We should? No I don't think we need one, why are we getting a 3rd car?" And no this isn't a story about her winning, lol.

I told her there was no F-in way on earth my 3 year old daughter was coming within 10 feet of the car, lol. Well, yes I won that one. My daughter is 20 now and she's still not come near it. Well that's because it's been in storage since 1988.

But really good luck with the car seat and we hope we can actually make it, we are still looking to see if anyone is planning on staying overnight on Saturday.

I don't think this rest stop is near this... Your right x51,52 is well east of Hooters, I believe he wanted to meet there if he was going to be on eastern LI.Your best bet is Cross Island to Northern State Pkwy[Grand Central Pkwy] East to Meadowbrook Pkwy south.If you have any problems call my cell# 631-327-6687.

As always, our latest meet was fun. It was great seeing old members and some new faces and a whole bunch of Marauders.

I believe we had a total of 17 Marauders throughout the afternoon, though not quite all at one time. The 18th Marauder (the accidental interloper) was driven by a woman who, according to goodwill ambassador Bigdog, had borrowed the car from her husband to go pick up take-out from Hooters. Bigdog gave her the 411 on our group and told her to tell her husband to come on down. He didn't, but maybe he'll check out the site.

Also enjoyed seeing the three cool Caprice/Impala LT1's.

It was great to meet everyone at Hooters,this was my first Marauder meet-was nice to put some faces to the names.Marauder & Nextstar thanks for lunch, had a great time -hopefully we can have that lunch at John Harvards Brewery real soon![although we're supposed to get 2-4 in. tomorrow!] 70 degrees can't be that far off! Was nice to see a few real nice Impalas show up although a couple of us MM guys were a litttle jealous of the TREAD left by one of those Chevys!! :burnout: :burnout: BIGDOG thanks again for the plaques.Till the next 1 :beer: :beer:

Might as well start getting some input for Aprils meet.I'm kinda limited to dates in April but here goes: 10,18,25 would be best for me. As far as location goes how about somewhere in the Hudson Valley area - it would be nice to take the Marauder on a road trip off the Island! - Maybe even get in a little golf up there!

SILVERSTREAK , PHKINQUIK - Are you guys anywhere near Taconic Pkwy and Stormville Rd.? Branton Woods CC is just off the pkwy.on Stormville Rd. -has a real nice restaurant.I dont know of any other restaurants in the area but I'm up for anything. :beer: 18th is good for me. Anyone else have any ideas on a location/date?
