The monthly cruise-in hosted by the Foothills Mustang club is scheduled for this Saturday night, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the big parking lot next to Texas Roadhouse in Greenville.

E-Dubb has one of his rare Saturday nights off and my daughter, son-in-law, and my father-in-law are all going to be in town, too. We plan on going over to the cruise-in, and if any of you guys are interested, you're welcome to join us.

If you want to come early, or stay later, you can stop by my place for a swim and/or a couple of cold ones (sort of a mini-pool party).

...an email to see if she'd be okay with me taking the kids down there that day. They've asked about "are we going to that Cheesehead's house for the pool party?" almost every weekend since June....

All systems go...will be there with the kids in tow. Would like to know...what are your plans in regards to the car show? Are you gonna be there the whole time? Will they serve bud light with lime? Yes, I'm purposely making things rhyme...the kids like TR, so dinner there is sublime.

We'll shoot for a 3pm ETA...will only have to worry about feeding the kids dinner that way. Not sure how late we'll stay...want to be in my own bed when the sun rises the next day.

Don't know about duration; we'll be there for at least a couple of hours. I usually pack a cooler, saves having to constantly run up to the TR for beverages.

We're going to Eric's restaurant for lunch, not sure exactly what time we'll be back, but if we're not at the house when you arrive, you and the kids just have at the pool, the back gate will be unlocked (just make sure the anklebiters don't get out), go on in. ;)

Ok...will do. Just need to figure the best way for me to do the cruise-in/get kids dinner. I'm guessing go to car show around 6, walk over to TR to get some dinner, hang out at car show for a while (til 8ish), then head back to your place to let them swim some more before we gotta hit the road.

All they'll want to do is swim with the doggies until they puke because they haven't eaten dinner... :shake:

Give me a holler en-route, and we can work the details.

Wifey and daughter are going shopping while we're at the cruise-in, so it could be an expensive night for me and the S-I-L...

I'll give you a holler before we hit the road since it's only 1+15 to your house. It's tempting to stay here, though...the forecast high here on Sat is 77....I'm ready to be done with the 85+ heat!

Thanks for your hospitality...

Rex, I have a prior commitment w/ family this Saturday & have been real busy to give you a heads up earlier in the week. I won't be able to make it this time. :( Have a good time at the cruise-in.

Here's some pics from the Cruise-In last Saturday night.

As usual, some really nice rides, plus a few unusual ones.

There were TWO dark green '68 AMXs there, both were in mint shape. A guy rolled out his newly restored '65 tri-power GTO (dark blue, just like my old one), and a gal was showing off her sweet looking '70 Torino GT. A local Covair club also showed up, and I made my pick for Rat Rod of the month... ;)

BTW, that's E-Dubb's Mach 1 the next row back behind the Goat, like father like son...:D
