Will the 96-98 Cobra timing cover mate up to our engine or are there going to be differences? Got a line on a cheap one possibly and was just curious. Thanks all.

Yes, there are differences. Don't bother.

I believe the 96 to 98 Cobra had an iron block in which case the difference is one bolt hole. Drill out a new bolt hole plug up the old one and you're ok.

actually the 96-99 cobras came with the teksid aluminum block

96-98 Cobra cover does NOT have the idler bolt setup on the PS.
