Contemplating selling my Marauder and would like some input as to what I could expect to get for it. Now I know you sharks wouldn't even give me dealer trade-in for it, which is why I won't bother listing here in the classifieds, but I figure maybe y'all would be willing to give me some advice on what I should ask from the average potential Marauder purchaser that doesn't pour over craigslist and ebay looking for desperate sellers willing to give away their cars. In other words: What would YOU want to get for this car if it were yours?
2004 SilverBirch; 2nd owner, purchased from dealer in 2005 with 13K on the odo, now 60K; dealer maintained at recommended intervals; the usual accessories -- heated seats & mirrors, CD changer, etc. No moonroof; normal paint wear for 7 year old car with 60K; totally stock drivetrain; Nevada car, so no rust or undercarriage problems.
So, if it were yours, how much would you seriously want to get for it?

If it were mine, I wouldn't sell for less than 13k
mine is nearing the 100k mark, I own mine free and clear and wouldn't sell it less than 11k

8 yr old with --60K+ --take no less than 11,500 for it--which you will likely sell it for-
Dude you need to put some serious stickers on it. Like "Pace car at Talledega 2002".
Or first car that won Pikes Pike in a land slide.
Or "High Performance Special"
Don't give it away, 13-14K and let them walk you down a few hundred. Remember your in Vegas, land of the high rollers. Make it nice and shiney.

I've had people follow me into parking lots to ask if I want to sell it. The folks here at MM.net all seem to want to buy 'em for next to nothing. It's the same on the Victory Motorcycle Club website; they want to buy used Victorys for peanuts, ridicule ebayers for asking a healthy price, and wonder why resale value is so low. I figure if I do try to sell I'm better off dealing locally. However, after looking online at the vehicle I'd be replacing it with, It doesn't look too good financially so I guess I'll be stuck with the Marauder for awhile longer. But thanks to everyone for their input; I really appreciate it.

Being stuck with a Marauder, IMO, is a good thing. Anyway, based on the description, List @ 13,500 OBO, Take no less than 12,000.......

What I was hoping for was to get enough for my Marauder to purchase an F150 in comparable condition. However, looking at F150's online I find that I'd have to go to an older vehicle with much higher mileage. I'm not willing to trade a car that I know has been treated well for an older vehicle with an unknown history. I'll just have to wait until I'm in a position to make payments on a truck.
As to being "stuck" with a Marauder, I'd never consider selling if it weren't for other factors that I can't change. It's the best car I've ever owned, and I will miss it greatly if I ever do sell. But it's no longer the ideal vehicle for my needs. If I "win the lotto", I'll keep it and buy the F150 too.

I bought a 1988 F-150 4WD (basket case) from my neighbor in rural Al.
Was his (Deceased) Father-in -laws pride-n-joy until his passing.:(
After I gathered up all the misc pcs(Bed,Gastanks, ect)from the woods surrounding his house, I proceded to reassemble in my driveway.;)
Discovered why it wouldn't run for him.....Fuel pump installed backwards...
So after a new gas tank & sending unit,I'm on the road.
If I couldn't of done this so cheaply, I wouldn't be in the market for a MM ,as I'm only going to buy myself 1 last car to "Have a blast" in.:burnout:
I'm going to "hang on" as long as I can to find that right MM....So if your things change,PM me & we'll see if there can be a meeting of the minds.
I'd really like to get back out that way for a visit..was hatched in SLC Raised by Hill AFB...Miss the deserts (Ocassionly)....

I just purchased my MM, an 03 300A black with 91,000 miles on it for 9k. It has AA tune and tuner, 410's, heinous rear control arms, and JLT intake.
The paint is immaculate and I was happy to read that the original owner had the roof repainted under warranty because of "crows feet".

What do you think would be a reasonable price for your car?
What's considered a "healthy" price?

Just what I stated in my later post: enough to purchase an F150 in a condition comparable to my car.

Depending on the year and trim level of the F150, you could be looking at quite a price range.
I was in the market for one myself a few months ago, pickups really hold their value; hard to find a nice one for a reasonable price, so I know what you're up against.

Good luck man, i thought about selling mine and I was low balled to hell on here. In the end I decided to keep the car and buy a truck for much cheaper. You are right about people wanting to get a super deal, then complaining about resale value plummeting. I was asking 9500 for my car which is fair, I would have let go for 8500. 2003 300A 82k miles black/black not perfect but nice, intake and exhaust. I was offered 6500. Basically I was too insulted to even come back with a counter offer. People want something for nothing.. Anyway good luck.

I was actually looking at new F150's in '05 when I came across the Marauder at a local L/M dealer. The price I paid for the used Marauder was right at what I was looking at for a new F150 nicely equipped. I figured I wasn't out of line in expecting to essentially trade even for the truck now, but apparently trucks have held value a lot more than Marauders. Too bad.

For sure.
I ended up buying a new 2011 Ranger XLT Supercab that was leftover on the local dealer's lot. With X-Plan pricing and Ford incentives, I was able to get a new Ranger way cheaper than a lower mileage used F150. :shake:
Now the MM's been relegated to weekend cruiser and the Ranger's my DD. If you can swing it, would be great if you can keep the MM and get a truck as well.
