How many of you have the Trunk Cargo Net ?
Where did you hang it from ?
I purchased Part# 1W7Z-5455066-AA, Cargo Retention Net, Envelope Style, from my dealership.
It took a whole month to get it.
The box only contained the net, with no anchors.
The photo/instructions inside the box say that the net should stretch to both sides of the trunk, but it barely makes it halfway.
I've only been able to hang it from the plastic trim panel, in the bottom of the trunk, just below the trunk striker.
Did I get something that was packed incorrectly ?

Mine was in the truck when I bought it. No directions, or anchors,... or anything else. I put it inside my spare,.... hmmm,... I wonder if it's still there?

It was "standard" on the '03A's as far as I know. It just clips in place. On my car the "hooks" are already in place.
Trying lookin in side another '04 on the dealers lot?

There are plastic bolts on each side of the trunk. They are in the back, twoards the bumper. Just unscrew the bolts and bolt up the cargo net. It just hangs in the back. I thought it was weird at first but now I really like it.

Mine too...
On either side of the black plastic molding that covers where the carpeting mates with the trunk lip, there are raised black plastics hold downs. They actually screw into to that plastic cover via a threaded bolt that is molded into them. The net loops go over these hold downs. There is no other attachment beside these two hold downs.

Where did you hang it from ?Pete,
My cargo net came with my car. I found it laying in the trunk in a plastic bag. There are two anchors in either end of the plastic trim panel that covers the female end of the trunk latch. The net only stretches as wide as the plastic trim. Each of the loops just slips over one of the anchors. The net is a pocket type and just hangs there.

I think you get either the cargo net or the organizer. I got the organizer after I bought the car so I have both. The cargo net does a nice job holding some things in place such as a bottle of wine, etc.

Tom - When you get the trunk organizer the cargo net is deleated. FMC saving $'s.

Mine came with the net, mounted as previously described. It holds the fire extinguisher pretty good, not stiff enough for the mini tool kit. Oh yeah, golf clubs won't fit in it either.

My 300A came with the net pre-installed. I think it's great. I tuck those plastic grocery bags in there, and then when i accelerate or sling her around a little the net keeps everything tidy!

My '03 300A came with the net installed. Great for holding detailing supplies - wax, chamois, california duster, etc.

My 03A came with the net and I also got the organizer. The net just mounts across the mouth of the trunk. I use it to stash a divider or 2 out of the organizer as required..

marauderman, you might ask your dealer for it. A car without a trunk organiser sould have come with the net. It's probably listed as coming with the car, the dealer can check that

I thought it was a bondage toy. I think that the wife mounted it to the headboard.

The part number you posted is for the net only. The part number for the hooks is F2AZ-5442002-A. They also have a number for the net retainer assy. which is F2AZ-54550A74-A. The MSRP is $7.42 and $23.15 each. They don't make a kit for it.
