I retired from Metro Transit and now I work for a Private mail delivery Contractor . My Bosses inlaws operate a similar company out of Delaware . these companies have been in service for at least 35 years plus .Roughly 40 percent of the mail is transported by Subcontractor with U.S. postal ID's[fingerprint databased ] Nationwide. The article is correct , part of the budget issue is the retirement package which has to be " posted " before hand , Now// with contract work, the only thing guaranted is the prevailing postal pay rate.and most of the runs pay between 3 and 6 -1/2 hours a day. travel time is not included. U do your own medical and retirement.....:bigcry:
