Yea that's why I did it

For me no. If you like it go ahead. It's more a personal choice thing, like what color lettering in the rear bumper. Now if you were going to do something hideous like 26s or something we would shut you right down.

I have had a light grey/silver stripe ever since I owned the marauder (9/02) 3rd thing I had done.

1-remote start
2-heated seats
3-pinstripe.

Steve call it the "concept stripe".

I've always liked the pin stripe on Tom's car, and Kyle's application on his SB looks good, too.

I've been toying the idea of doing one on the Bluesmobile, I'm thinking maybe screaming yellow, or fluoro orange.

With all due respect and no offence intended to any and all owners with pinstripes, fender badges and other embelishments to the exterior, (except painted calipers or grille and trunk badges OEM or otherwise) IMHO it detracts from the clean lines which differentiate the Marauder from the GM. When it comes to the Marauder, less is more.

I have seen several MMs with the "subtle" 1/8 inch pinstripe higher on fender that runs from nose to tail. They look very good IMHO. Personally, I think a 3/8 inch stripe in the notch of the ding guard is a bit too much. But if you like it .... go for it.

Like Denmark said, LESS IS MORE on the Marauder's exterior!

MODS are a different story.......

Marauder TJA and others have subtle paint appliqué and they look good. Some have embellished the flanks with complex flames while others go for wide stripes coursing over hood, roof and trunk. Ghost flames embellish the body panels of some members MM's.

Individualism has supplanted the "Plain Jane" orthodoxy. Wheel treatment is not immune, the "murdered look" continues to garner compliments.

Even Lambo doors, my favorite, have encroached on our MM mystic

I, at some point, will have my hood airbrushed with a "Conan the Marauder" theme
tearing out of the hood with battle axe, horned helmet, breathing fire, death and destruction.

So, if you like it then press on.

Good for you! I personally like it & its YOUR CAR so if you like it then even better. You made your own touch and added your own flavor.

Now take it off coz I don't like it anymore

Plain and simple truth there is no wrong way to add flair to a marauder.

I like it, but that is baby steps compared to my exterior design.

Do what you want, i did. Some may like it some may not. In the end you're the one who made or is making the payments, and have to drive it.

My 2 cents...

Well, since I've done it to mine, of course I think it's a good idea, but others don't like; however, it's your MM, so do what you like. I like to be a little different than the rest of the crowd, so if I had a black MM, I wouldn't do red (I don't like the color, period, with a few exceptions). I would pick another color that I think looks good that no one else has or only a few have used. If the rear bumper inserts were available in gold, I'd do that in a heartbeat...gold inserts, pinstripe, calipers on a black car....then continue with matching gold-colored components under the hood...sort of like Leo Vampires' MM....but I guess that would keep me from being a complete 'individual', so I'd have to pick a different color...lol...

The red striping looks okay. If the rear bumper letter inserts were the same color as the pinstripe, it could complement it or be a bit too much, depending on your tastes. For myself, if I could find a black reflective pinstripes & rear bumper inserts for mine, that would be my first cosmetic mod on my MM that I would do.
