And I found this lonely hose attached to the bracket, any ideas as to what it is to? I looked and could not locate any disconnected hoses or loose ends.

If I remember right that hose when connected up...or unconnected...can't remember which, releases the parking brake when the car is shifted to drive, without having to pull the release handle.

Correct, that hose is for the automatic parking brake release. Don't worry about it unless you have the automatic parking brake release.

BTW, what did you replace the LCM with? Reman or new?

Ouch!

Coulda saved yourself tons of cash getting a repaired one, and on top of it, the new one's gonna fail, too (a matter of when, not if)...

I could have saved you a majority of the $$$ you paid and you'd have an LCM that is guaranteed not to fail ever again.

Like others have mentioned the "new" LCM will fail again..... just a matter of time.

Do you have the old LCM?

Mine has not failed yet in all this time. When can I expect to be in the dark?

I believe the more you use the headlights the faster the relay inside the LCM will fail.

It could fail at any time..... usually when you need it the most.....

I made the same mistake, buying a new one, but sent my old one to FBM, to use as a spare for other members. We worked a deal, for when my new one fails, and it will fail....so it goes with the stock "new" LCM. FBM is a straight up guy, who will light the way for you.

Hey Prwillis...or any other member, who is electronically challenged as I, send him your old one. Get it fixed, to keep as a spare for yourself....or donate it to keep up his inventory for other members, who get caught in the LCM jam.

IIRC, around $50, and he gives you a LIFETIME warranty on his repair.

I can fix it for you. I'll warranty the carftsmanship and parts for as long as the car is running.

Need to get it done soon as I'll be increasing the price.... it will still be a great deal but postage and fuel costs have gone up so I'll have no choice but to increase mine cost of the repair.

PM me for details.

BTW... if you have your old LCM I'll make you a deal.....
