My Father in Law was diagnosed with stomach cancer today, he goes in for surgery Monday

Terrible news, will definitely keep good thoughts. Just had an uncle die of cancer, definite tough road, but positive thinking works wonders

Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer over 14 years ago. If you met them you would never know.

Got good news today, the cancer is operable but they are going to do Chemo 1st, He will begin Chemo Thursday and meeting with the surgeon Friday.
I feel relieved that they didn't feel the need to go in immediately.
Thanks for the prayers, thoughts and general positive vibes, I am sure they all help.
He is in much better spirits today!
Some of you may remember I went through an 8 week event with him 2 years ago when he broke his hip and then the hospital almost killed him, twice.
He is a tough old cuss @ 82 years old. Still works on his car, has girlfriendS!
He is my hero and I will always be there for him!

Well today he got news that the cancer has spread into his bones.
I think he will stop doing chemo tomorrow....

Gary....... Sorry to hear things are where they are..... Like alot of folks here I am thinking about you guys, Mark's mom inlaw, Unclear's son and the "Admiral" alot.....

We can't control when, but we can have a big say in the "how"..... Sounds like he lives his life on his terms at 82..... I'd say he's an azz kicker to the nth degree bud:bows:. I know you have learned/shared alot with him.....Funny how real fortune shines on folks huh:o.....

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you guys......
