Saw this thing parked locally so I had to stop and take some pics. The inspection is expired for a while so its been sitting here or abandoned.

If it had a for sale sign and I got it for a decent price, then yeah total project car. Something unlike anyone has seen before including paint and completing the look.

Was considered briefly for the Marauder by SB and his team along with the wagon. Now that I see what it may have looked like glad it didn't go beyond the morning coffee and donut meeting.
I'm thinking it was left there because whoever modded it had to go audition for America's Got Talent. . .

Blackened300a,
I'll take it! That color has to go, though. I think black would look much better. You must admit, someone went to a lot of trouble to make that.

I'd abandon it too!

Workmanship was pretty good, almost looks like a tailgate from a suv between driver and bed.

That's the famous official NYC taxi cab yellow!
Personally I would put air bag suspension, matte black paint, 20" rims with a marauder front clip and a cowl hood would make it a lot more appealing.

While there are a lot of details that would need to be done to make it look more like a proper factory-style car, that is some SERIOUSLY awesome fab and custom work!
It looks like the took the hatch off of an older Focus to make the front of the truck bed/back of the passenger compartment. I wonder if they sourced the actual truck bed from a Ranger?
So much potential sitting right there...

Some serious time spent on that. I'd rock it with a touch of mods.
I'd still like to make a MM wagon like Joe! Chop the top 2", lowered, cowl hood, and a YSI belching out some boost spill off..

i'd sport it too, Paint, rims. You betcha
The bulkhead looks like it is from an Escape.
I'm not a fan of the color or the hood scoop but I'd drive it otherwise.

This Vichero probably started as a P72 taxi package CV that had damage to the roof area & was totaled by the insurance company. Probably has a rebuilt/salvage title. :dunno:

It's not that bad, I'd drive it too with some mods obviously
would look better with a factory spoiler.....would look better in DTR.....would look real good in my driveway.....unusual and damn ugly, but I like it......

Nightmare. It does appear to be well done.
Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.
Would like to hear the explanation of what this beholder was tyring to accomplish.
How about a Marauder Step Van, Dump Truck, Hearse, etc....

A nickname for the Vichero could be "Shar-pei". :D :flamer:
BTW, I would drive it. :burnout:
i had an idea after my previous post today...somebody out there with the knowledge and capability should photo shop that ugly but lovable thing.....Marauderize it with window tint and blackout B pillars (really makes the proportions look weird) and show examples in all 4 colors so nobody gets offended

Remember this car? Well it's finally up for sale and the asking price is $9k! The owner says its a 2005 engine in it with 130k miles.
Not sure if anyone is interested in it so ill put it out there. It's a unique crown Vic but I don't think it's $9k worth of unique.

If I could, I probably would. Of course it would be overhauled, but the body would remain.

From the pics, the workmnship on the body looks good. I'd lose the hood scoop and the spoiler. As for color, you can guess my choice... ;)
A little spendy at the asking price, IMO, but defiinitely unique.

Pretty darn cool. Im thinking its a factory one off, something like the Marauder rag top, without the rag, Ill have to check with the boys from St. Thomas assembly to see if one of these cam down the line.. Pipe in there cheesy!

I like it. Get rid of the awkward hood scoop, paint it maroon and black and replace the steelies with snowflakes and It'd look pretty good.
Where in the world did he find those stubby vent shades for the back windows? Yeah, different color, rims, scoop and this would be a blast to tinker around in.

Now, THIS would make a cool Marauder clone. According to Steve, something like this was actually supposed to happen. Someone can make the Marauder concept that was never even drawn. Man, I really wish I could get this one now.

Had he been in the sub $5k area, this would have been a thread about my new project. ;)
I already had the direction of the car planned out and was on par with what you were thinking.

Even if the car is worth 5k and he wants 9k, it would still exceed 4k to convert a CV and make it look this good. At least if you paid to have it done... I think.

The guys at Gas Monkey would flip that car in a heartbeat:up:
Apply a coat of wax, remove the scoop, spoiler, rear mercury badge and add some wheels and your good to go.
