Ride Along at Atlanta Motor Speedway

One of the presents my wife got me this past Christmas was a ride along at the Richard Petty Nascar Experience. My mother in law and sister in laws also bought their hubby's the samething. So yesterday we were all able to come together to ride it out and all I can say WOW! This was such a rush! Riding into the track, through the tunnel, reminded me of MV8 in Charlotte. Some of you remember the video I made and how "Awesome" that was. Knowing I was about to get up to 165 MPH (So I thought) made this trip made it even more exciting. We got into the infield and parked and walked up to the Trailer to check in. The excitement was building for sure. From there we went over to suit up and get our helmet. They were only running one car for the ride along and there were others actually driving behind a lead car. So, we all took our turns and the rush was amazing. They told us we would be at 165 or so but the or so turned into 190 MPH coming down the back stretch. :D On the second lap I was afraid to look over to see how fast we were going into to turns 3 and 4. The G forces were amazing. I gained a new respect for those guys who drive these cars on a weekly basis. If you ever have a chance to do this I definately recommend it. I'm sure driving will also be a blast but they limit you to 145 MPH at this track. Not sure at the others. We had an absolute Blast !

Looks like fun! But post 2 pic 2 looks like the wrong safty equipment. You should have a full face helmits and hans device on and that wouldn't have happend. Hope no one was hurt.:D

Awesome gift !!!

I was there last Sunday night with my GF for the race. Spent the weekend down there, took in a Braves game Saturday, some Ribs and BBQ up in roswell, had a blast.
