Having owned one of these for the last couple of months, I must say a documentary like this is well deserved

Black GN: "Mr. Vader, your car is ready."

This was actually the advertising slogan for the Impala SS, I have looked all over to find the commercial but I can't find it....

Yeah, but the '87 GN even looked like Darth Vader...

If our cars came from the factory with a supercharger, I believe it would be an icon in automobile history. I would love to see a marauder documentary like this to learn how our cars came to life, but I don't know if the marauder will ever be loved on this level by the automobile community as a whole.

I still have mine, I ordered it at the end of production...almost didn't make the cut off. Waited 6 weeks to get it. Took the day off of work and hung out at the Buick dealer and watched it come off the truck. It is still in my garage.

They should say something about them, most people don't realize that the engine was not just a 3.8 turbo, it was the GNX engine!

I remember when growing up. My neighbor had a 1979 Buick Regal Turbo. Dark red in color. I remember the slight bulge in the center of the hood too.

Hopefully they would touch on the early days too.

Not really, it is a modified GN engine with different heads to fit in the engine bay as well as different pistons and a cross drilled crank. Remapped ECM as well.

I love these cars and cant wait to see the film. It was so innovative and technologically advanced for the time.. The last year of any of the grand national cars was the year I was born ;)

Just did a little research, I stand corrected! The info I was given in the past was WRONG. Interesting info on that engine and it "real" power output....hmmmm....now if I only owned one...
