View Full Version : Prayers for mother-in-law appreciated

She's to have a bypass tomorrow at St. Vincent's in Jacksonville, FL. Linda (aka Go2GalFL) took her mom to be checked-in tonight; so, I'm still waiting for final details.

Her catheritization procedure this past Thursday showed one of the arteries blocked with plaque. Heart is strong and everything around looks great. Doctor said he'd hear how much better she feels in six weeks.

Tough Linda's got to help solo while I'm out of town for business. Glad we have my parents around to hep with girls.

The good news is (if there is any in times like these) that these procedures are no longer the rocket science they were in the 70's/80's..... Hopefully its smooth sailing for you guys Mark.... I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone. Procedure begins around 9:30 AM today. Will provide update when available.

GAMike ... maybe this will be an outpatient or walk-in clinic event when it comes our turn.

Just heard her mom is now out of surgery and in ICU for 24-hr observation. Dr said everything went great Linda will go to St. Vincent’s tomorrow morning to visit as only one family member allowed.

Doctor reported today she’s fully vascular after a double bypass – chest and groin as circumflex was also blocked. Should be out of ICU tonight into her own room for recovery at St. Vincent’s.

Mom-n-law recovering nicely in step-down room at St Vincent's Medical Center. Room with a view riverside. May be transported as early as tomorrow or Tuesday to rehab facility in Palm Coast. Thanks all for prayers and thoughts.
