Watching this was way cool....and I am sure we are probably thinking , great --thats something for our side for sure........which makes me remember a story a Koren Vet told me once...........

He and his fellow soldiers were in their fox hole when their sargent droppped in and handed them the latest new gagit for their M-1 rifle--a night scope......so he put it on and lines up the sight...and boom----a bad one goes down.....so he said this was so easy he would just stand up and do it---heck..they can't see me in the dark.......about that time........a bullet cam slicing by his ear...........whoop......looks like they got one too............if you got the money---its not limited to just one group........

I'm no weapons expert but it seems similar in discharge to the Phalanx.

But, unless it moves, you're shooting the same thing over and over.

I don't think most realize the leap this device provides. The ammo is no longer fired mechanically. It is fired by an electric charge.

The difference between a bicycle and motorcycle.

Plus they are using existing calibers.

I get the technology- Really groundbreaking but in a handgun, I don't see the value unless the bad guys are standing in a line.

Electrically fired ammo has infinite options.

If you can afford to own one of these rascals, you can afford a big 'ol hauler to tote the ammo... ;)

But yeah, you're right; with that much firepower, support logistics becomes a bigger factor than operational capability.

If Israel gets into another full on ground war, you will see technology similar to this employed.

This expands the capability of boots on the ground by a quantum leap:uzi:

At 2 cents a share, might be fun to take a gamble.

I don't trust such advertisments much.
How many bullets can your fire in real life before the gun is melting?
A hot gun would be a nice target for an infrared rocket launcher.
How about recharging if it's empty?
