I had another six months left on my lease with my fusion so I passed by the local dealership to check out the new fusion. Beautiful cars and a ton of nice features, but zero incentives on leases. For a basic car they were talking big money down and a payment almost $125 more then what I was paying for my current fusion. After talking for a while and getting no where, I saw a new Ford Edge sitting on the floor, I asked him about and Ford is giving away all kinds of incentives on this truck. After talking for a while, I worked out a deal on a 2013 Edge SEL with AWD, vista roof, mytouch, touch screen navigation, leather heated seats, 20" rims, and the 3.5L 285hp engine. It's very comfortable to drive, handles great and moves much better then my fusion ever did. Plus I got all this for less then what a basic Fusion SE would have cost me a month.

Very nice !!! Sounds like you got a great deal. Just take it easy now that you are livin' on The Edge. ;) Check out that Tuxedo Black paint in the sunlight and you can see red, green, blue and yellow flakes depending on how the sun is hitting it.

AWD was a MUST because he can't miss one day of work at DSNY and "it's snowing" isn't an excuse anymore.

I haven't driven the car (yet :D) but the ride is ridiculously smooth and oh so comfortable. It's a beautiful car.

I'm jealous. Now we gotta go get me a new ride :cool:.

Thanks for the heads up Paul. We were gonna start looking at the new Fusions for the wife soon. I have been eyeing the edge here lately, might have to look a little deeper into it..

Mileage is a little low but I been told by other edge owners that after 2k miles is when it improves a lot. I leased it, they squashed my old lease, gave me $1k from going into another ford, gave me $2500 in incentives and took $3k off sticker. I didn't think I was driving out of the dealership with a $40k truck for the deal I got.
