My Favorite - "We've all seen or heard import cars terrorizing the night with obnoxiously buzzy exhausts."

I am working on a "Cone of Silence" device for placement on your person to convert the fart can sound to Silence.

Guess I'm better off without the stainless steel brake lines. Just saved me a few dollars.
Thanks Mike :-)

I have yet to hear of stainless steel brake lines failing....... especially a catastrophic failure.

Well, I have a 13" 6 Piston Wilwood brake set and SS lines in my recycling bin now. What was I thinking. Sheesh. Thank you article.

I loved the part about the wide wheels with tires that are too narrow, lately I've seen countless VWs with corvette C4/C5 wheels and it drives me crazy bc it looks horrible. Here's an example

At least I know what those cars that look like early Hot Wheels cars are called (i.e., "Donk").

Methinks the author doesn't like people doing any kind of mods to their cars...

Reading the comments from the german car humpers on that article makes me gag... Really, a mercedes is reliable nowadays? Maybe in the old days of the 300D dizzle - aka known as the terrorist model Mercedes, but today's mercedes are steaming piles of unreliable ____.

And for the amount of money/power they need, they are freaking slow. SL65 twin turbo v12 making 738ft-lbs of tq was barely in the high 11s at the track... Right up there with a bolt-on Boss 302 making half that torque and 3/4 of the hp...

Waaaay back in the day of me owning a Marauder, I remember a Mercedes of some sort (either an SL55 or C55 or something) trying to start a roll with me on the freeway, some really young dude that thought he was hot ****. He got pretty pissed when he only barely squeeked by. I mean, if you're going to spend LOADS on a car to go fast without building/modding it and then try to run people, wouldn't you want it to be the best on the street?

The best part was being just a notch slower than him for like 1/5th the price but still having the same image he did to the average person.
