New discovery today for Navigator and Expedition Owners

So I visited a local salvage yard today, took a look under the dash of a 2003 Navigator....Looking closely I spy the adjustable pedals...it looks pretty close to the ones on our cars. I purchased the assembly, brought it back to the shop, and tore it apart...They are the SAME inside! The plastic gear is IDENTICAL to ours!

Ford says that from July 02 till Dec 03 they (Navigators and Expeditions) take one assembly, and from Dec 03 till Aug 04 is another. I would love to know what the difference is. Mounting, brackets, etc etc or is the mechanism different. If any of you out there have an 04 and newer Navigator or Expedition I would love a photo of the drive housing on the brake pedal! Please let me know!

I agree that if only one person or two people of similar height use the car you may never move them. For me its more of I have the option and I want it to work!

I set mine all the way down when I bought the car and have never touched the pedal adjust button since.

Best thing about 2003-2004 Navigators is that they have the same 4.6 DOHC as Marauders Cobras and Lincoln Aviators.

Same here, and also set the climate control to precisely 73* :)

I thought Navigators had a 5.4?

Yes, the Navigator is a 5.4 DOHC. The Aviator has the same 4.6 as the Marauder but with slightly different cams I think.
