I need to replace my muffler on my Jeep. I have a 318V8 with cold air intake and currently a 2.5 instead of stock 2" pipe from the muffler back (no resonator). The existing stainless muffler welds have broken in many places. At Summit Racing I have found two mufflers that will package in the existing space. The one is Kooks race muffler and the other is a Magnaflow. Both are the same size and both are stainless. Pypes M-80 Round Case Mufflers is a $25 cheaper option but I have no experience with the brand so not sure I want the cheapest option.

I do not mind if the sound is loud but do not want drone. I know Kooks headers are rated very good and respected on the site. Should I try the Kooks or go for the mainstream Magnaflow?
