Found in listing for a salvage auction in Michigan. VIN# 2MEHM75Vx3X690316 DBP/Charcoal interior. Says theft recovery. If anyone has more info on it or if it is close to your VIN, chime in. And hand me a tissue to wipe my tears.
Sucks, because I could have used this body shell to fix another DBP that could have been fixed but I passed on it a few months ago...

Picked clean, maybe a back bumper worth some money?

Floor shifter'd be worth some money too along with the seats depending on the condition

And that is one of the MANY reasons mine is in a garage at night or in a secure lot at work. When out in the city, we park next to cameras and places where the car is visible to everyone!

What a shame. :( Early April 2003 build. A close but slightly younger relative of Mark Urhman's Blue MM (sold to a guy in Ohio in March 2008).

Listing only gives the state. It's a scrap title so only licensed auto wreckers and certain dealers can be the only bidders. Closed to the public. Will prob end up in a wrecking yard close by as transportation costs can be high for a non-rolling shell.
What is interesting is that they left the seats. steering wheel and console..unique MM parts. If it was stolen to convert a CV/GM they missed the boat. The sheet metal removed is all interchangable with CV/GM so they could have taken anything. Watch Craigslist in Michigan for the engine/trans to show up if it was taken by backyard thieves....

Yeah 1 of 117, it could be saved if someone was ambitious, but I get the feeling it's a goner.

I think the "Scrap" title means it can never be re-titled, has to be dismantled. Usually a Salvage title can be rebuilt. And some of the cars sold with salvage titles are far worse.
It is a good frame and shell to fix another wrecked MM. Can't save them all...

DAM shame :( to see it almost looks purple/blue you think it was a re-paint? At this rate the blues will only be seen at car shows with members owning them here for safe keeping .

I was hoping the same thing but the blue over spray in the trunk and firewall look just like the factory. Most shops won't go that far on a re-paint.
