Finally able to find something sporty enough to drive yet maintain good gas mileage so I could retire the BOSS324 Marauder from DD duty. Germans really do know how to build em. I love the 2.0 FSI Turbo inline 4 makes 200hp/207tq. Already looking at a carbon fiber grill, APR Stage I Tune, APR CAI, APR RSC Exhaust...lol

I had a lead on a 2004 SVT Focus Euro edition with only 59k miles but someone bought it and couldnt see myself with a $4-500 payment with a Focus ST or Fusion AWD 2.0 Turbo.

Congrats, Brian. My new daily driver is a new 2012 Nissan Versa S. Bought it on Sunday and I already racked up 500 miles this week on it.

Three cars in my fleet now, oh my. lol

Those VW's are nice and fun.

I still DD the Marauder unless I am going to the baseball field with the boys or it is pouring rain. Course, mine is still young with only 65k on the clock.

Mine had about 60,000 when I bought it in early 2006. Your still just a young pup. lol

Looks like I have Vogtland springs as it sits lower than stock. When i had it on the car lift i spotted the springs as i had a set on my SN95 Mustang. Also, I filled up and based on the avg mpg it read 450 until empty! The DSG trans is magic I can shift or let the computer shift in sport mode...fun.

Its a high mileage car so 131K for 10K dealer. but very clean and all records accounted for. I really thought about buying new but would have had to get rid of the 3/4 ton Burb (only 70k) and Marauder. This way I get to keep all and leave the Marauder in the garage where it belongs covered up.

I am Stockton bound bud; new job, I am afraid my car will be gone one day after work:cool: plus 250 miles from a 19.5 gallon tank isnt helping my mod bug.

So far meets all my requirements. Sporty (Turbo inline 4), handles great (lowered compliant Vogtland springs) and economical on gas. Plus for as small as it is it feels bigger and German quality feels more expensive than it is. The biggest suprise is the DSG auto trans; quite possibly the best transmission Ive ever drove in. Sport mode is loads of fun and the manual mode via the shifter or paddle shift is fun as well. Not to mention the mod potential:D
