Any info out there on how to remove the back-up light housings - i have the rear panel mostly apart and not finding anythinf obvious.
Replacing the bulb is a piece-of-cake.... but can;t find the plastic housing hook-up.

If i'm not mistaken it's a reeeeal pain and not even really worth it unless it's cracked or broken or something. If you're trying to paint them or something like that, just mask off the area really good.

Have to remove the entire panel. The backup lights are part of it. Not hard to do.

FBM - Can you elaborate on that? Or is there a link or forum thread on it??
Thx

There are 2 bolts hidden under the license plate.

I found two screws behind the license plate with 1/4" heads - They are not very big - but long ... Is that all there is to it - should the panel with lights then pull right out?

The 8 acorn nuts and those 2 hidden ones and the panel should practically fall off.
I just swapped the trunk fascia on The Slowmobile yesterday...I ass-ume the Marauder is the same.

The 2 under the plate are 7mm, the 2 holding the license plate light in are 7mm and they need to come out as well, then depending on the year, you will have 8 or 10 10mm nuts to remove. Usually the top edge is stuck to the sheetmetal of the trunklid itself as it has a rubber gasket between the rear panel and trunklid.

Thank you guys - got it out - even with SAE sockets - hate that Metric stuff .....
It was a piece of cake once all the nuts were located.
Now that I have it out - those back-up lenses look like they are "glued" in there.
Will proceed delicately from here.
Say "RF" - where on Cape Cod is home??? We're probably only about 40 minutes or so apart.
