OK guys Ive attempted 2 powerbrake burnouts and both times were barely spinning the tires, whats the deal. I dont have TC and I had the f***er pinned to the floor. Everything seeems normal with the car. Just not sure why my 99 crown vic can burnout like mad and my marauder doesnt do s**t.
Thanks for any input
:hmmm: don't know.
But then again I don't know too much about doing burnouts.

If you put the Vic rear tires on the Marauder ,you will roast Them. The marauder is Geared right in stock form 3:55 but the car has tall tires ,the Marauder is designed to hook up with minimal spin "better ET's at the track.. Now if you add another 100-200 horses [Trilogy or Eaton ] this will roast the factory tire set up [as Demonstrated by DOOM ] . [ my comment ]

Guess i just figured, if it had close to 100 more hp than a crownvic, it would break loose no problem and burn like hell. Guess I was wrong, or my car is lacking power.
Yeah I thought about the tire size, Im actually planning on putting some 16x7 steelies. We'll see how it burns those up.

your car is not lacking power ,just go down a tire size or 2, as I was sayin the rear marauder tires are considerably taller than the stock vic tires so it takes more hp to spin them . [ Have Fun ]
Just put in a set of 4:10 gears! :burnout:

These cars suck without some basic mods.
Before I supercharged. I had a JLT intake, 4.10's, underdrive pulleys and a Zack tune and the car would roast the wheels.

DTR + 4.10's + Eaton swap = Wreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom

^^^^^ What he said.
If you're bone stock, the car's going to be a slug.
Install 4.10s and a performance tune and you'll have a whole new car.

Dont go too heavy on the brakes and give it half a foot full right away and that should get the wheels spinnin good, i had the same problem when i got my marauder until i changed the way i did the burnout. I used to have an 05 cvpi and could light the tires up with very little effort, marauders are more difficult due to the reasons already mentioned.

Don't take it too hard, my car is bone stock and it won't do one either. The gear ratio and the brake diameter keeps it from doing what you want...
I will resist the urge to mod, I will resist the urge to mod, I will resist the urge too mod...my counselor says I have to say this three times when I speak of burn outs!:bigcry:

The CV may not have the Trac-Lok diff so it's only burning one instead of the two on the MM.
My '04 CV will light the tire up a lot easier then lighting up both of the tires on my MM.
:hmmm: don't know.
But then again I don't know too much about doing burnouts.
And now we have proof hazing causes memory loss...:burnout:

Dont get me wrong, I love my marauder. I just bought it 6 mo. ago and Ive been driving a cvpi for 6 years, huge improvement over that so....anyway thanks again.

Do a breakstand and ease off the brake till you roll about a good 2 feet or till you get into the higher rpms and smoke smoke smoke. Not that I tried this or anything :)

The Nitto 850's I have on the back now are really easy to light up. The 420S's I had of the same size had a lot more bite.

I purchased My Second Marauder a few months ago in May. It was a dog compared to my first Marauder. The first owner was a 70 year old man who was not driving it much. 25,244 miles on the odometer.
Since I enter the freeway at 6am in the morning on a long entrance ramp, I am able to open up the Marauder. I opened up the second Marauder almost every morning. After awhile the Marauder responds well. I suspect the Marauder has a learning computer on driving style.
I suggest you put the pedal to the metal, as traffic permits.

You can also disconnect the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes or so and the computer will relearn how you drive.

The pavement you're on has a lot to do with it too. Find a nice seal coated parking lot.
