Saw this on I-95 North during my commute this morning. "Motor Coach One" painted on the rear.

Was kinda surprised that it didn't have a police escort with it knowing that the Presidential candidates are hitting places all over the country this week.
Here's another version below called Ground Force One.

Believe it or not, the above ^^^^^^^ buses-motorcoaches are actually commercial companies and there is a disclaimer
in fairly small print behind the rear duals that says "Not affiliated with any Agency of the US Government".

BTW -- Here's a pic of the real deal \/\/\/\/\/\/

After 39 of driving them (+school bus & trolley) It's all I know:confused:

The first two are owned by a Company I can not make out the name in the picture. The last picture is a "full" custom coach (new today $$ your looking at 2 million):)

The second had a phone # plastered on the back. I doubt the White House would do that

RE: the third picture...does the President really have a "Motor Coach One" in addition to Marine One and Air Force One?

Does he also have "Golf Cart One" for relaxing and "Segway One" for getting around the White House?

RE: the third picture...does the President really have a "Motor Coach One" in addition to Marine One and Air Force One??

Came as a surprise to me when I saw the "fake" one yesterday. Did a little research and found that two (2) of the black motorcoaches were bought by the Obama Administration in August 2011. Prior to that time, they were rented or leased.

I think the custom coach is too big a target and too slow moving to really tansport a president? As much as I would like to see a coach in use.

So if they have one then I guess it's the Army turn to supply a tank driver for the coach:)

I want to say that the "United States of America" ones are from a company in Lansing Michigan. When I was still in high school, one showed up to pick up some students for a trip. It was pretty weird seeing one for the first time.

Big Jim ,I have to Laugh because I drive a Cummings powered truck 4 days out of the week and I should be "slapped'. I like Detroits because I have worked on them for years .the series 60 was the first engine I have seen go 1 million miles with no tare down. I spent a lot of time on the L 10's and M 11's years back, now the Cummings X is the KING kong on the road, Most of the buses I worked on were city buses, our last wave of power plants were Cummings ISB and ISC Allison Hybrid units in Newflyer buses .we had one division that had MCI and they were Detroit powered also [ like NJT's Road coaches ] . Parts for CATS are hi dollar but they do run for ever  after 32 years at Metro TRANSIT [ W.M.A.T.A. ] the SNAP on TOOL Boxes came home last year.

I was around when Detroit put the series 60 on the market, I remember I rep tell how great it was going to be, 4 cycle and all.
I said nice however I am driving a coach right now with a inline 6, 4 cycle:up:
I forget the year?
No doubt the 60 series was a good engine however it now Germany owned (MB)
The cat I drove was in a '06 MCI model "J" and had a ZF 12 speed auto slow as hell on take off but 13 MPG with the standard 250 fuel tank gave super range:)

You got stupendous milage/ by contrast our Neoplane Artic's 60 series with Allison b 500's got 5 miles per gallon ,but had to be retarded because they were snapping axles [ these coaches pulled hard out of the Hole:burnout:

About 1400 foot lbs of tork:)

The ZF 12 speed is the only trans that can deliver the kind of MPG the 4-6 speed give you about 8-9 in a coach.

Cumming is also very quiet vs's the other:P
